Our Community

Lacombe - Blending tradition with technology. You will be impressed with the balance of old and new that you will find in the beautiful community of Lacombe. Lacombe was incorporated as a village in 1896, and as a Town in 1902. Agriculture has played a major role in the economical growth and since the early 70's and 80's the expansion of the petro-chemical industry has employed hundreds of people. The residents of Lacombe enjoy a close community spirit and strong economical growth.

We pride ourselves with having many historical homes here that add to the charm of out town. We have participated in the nationwide 'Communities in Bloom' program, and this has truly beatified our community even more. We have a state of the art recreation facility with arena, swimming pool, and curling rink and are proud of our new community centre, the Lacombe Memorial Centre.
